Revised Wind Chill Temperature
The formula for calculating the wind chill temperature - the perceived temperature on exposed human flesh for various wind speeds - is being revised to more accurately estimate wind effects based on recent studies. The new description is at -
For the record, the formula is -
wind chill(F) = 35.74 + 0.621T - (35.75 * (V**0.16)) + (0.4275 * T * (V**0.16)) where T is in degrees fahrenheit, V is wind speed in miles per hour
